Between Slovakia and Croatia, there is a dialogue on the possibility of possible use of the terminal for liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the island of Krk. Pellegrini agreed with the Croatian head of State Zoran Milanovič that it is important to prevent huge price growth when increasing defense spending. They both agreed that both Slovakia and Croatia should first focus on arranging on meeting their capabilities, ie completing the capacities they already have as NATO members.
“Once our governments, both Slovakia and Croatia, should invest more arms, they should primarily support the Croatian and Slovak industries and try to use home capacity,” The President of the Slovak Republic stressed.
At the same time, he objected to the negative comparison of Slovakia to Hungary, as the Slovak Republic did not block any major conclusions of the European Council and supported all 17 packages of anti -Russian sanctions. Slovakia is the form of peace negotiations as quickly as possible to end the war in Ukraine. Hungary perceives in some areas as an ally, for example in views on foreign policy, but has a different attitude in many other matters. Both countries agree primarily on the interference of national interests.
In the case of a military conflict in Ukraine, Pellegrini EU leaders called for a meeting with representatives of the Russian Federation and began to develop a dialogue about the earliest end of the war. At present, the negotiation of temporary peace of weapons depends on the United States negotiations with Russia.
