The second half of the week will bring a wave of short but intense heat. Some forecasts talk about temperatures above 36 or even 37 degrees Celsius in the south-eastern half of the country.
It is better to be prepared to the influx of extremely hot air to Poland. Remember a few important rules: Drink often water, use cool showers and avoid unnecessary effort at the hottest hours. Also try not to ventilate the windows in the so -called “peak hours”.

Regular ventilation of the apartment is a good habit, but on hot days it can harm morethan to help. This is confirmed by many doctors, including Patrycja Jackowska, ENT specialist Wrocław Medical Center, whose words were cited in one of Medonet’s articles.
At hours when temperatures outside the windows are the highest, It is better not to add hot air inside, because the rooms will simply heat up and it will be stuffy in them (so you should not open them at noon).

The weathering of the apartment in hot weather is of course allowed because it improves air circulation. However, it’s best to do it in the morning (until about 8-9 in the morning), when it is still very brisk outside, i.e. at dawn.
Later, when the temperature begins to rise, you have to close the windows and cover the blinds so that it is possible to keep a fairly pleasant, constant temperature. Especially between 12-17 it is better to avoid it. If you forget to ventilate the windows in the morning, you can also do it late in the evening, when the temperature begins to fall. This will also improve the quality of your sleep.
