António Guterres, Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), promised to support Ukraine on Monday in Seville, Spain, in its future efforts to renew after more than three years of war with Russia. TASR writes about this based on the DPA report.
Peace Support for Ukraine
During an interview with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Šmyhaľ at the Fourth UN Conference on Guterres, he stressed that the international organization is determined to help the Ukrainian government in addressing humanitarian challenges as well as needs in the field of renewal and reconstruction.
At the same time, he appealed to achieving a complete, immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine. In his words, this would be the first step towards a fair, comprehensive and sustainable peace that will be in accordance with the UN Chart, international law and the UN General Assembly resolutions.
