During participation in Expoacre Juruá 2025, the president of the Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of Acre (Faeac), ASSUERO VERONEZ, defended the importance of technology and technical qualification as pillars for the strengthening of agribusiness in the Juruá region. In an interview granted during the event, Veronez also charged urgent solutions to structural problems which, according to him, still limit the full development of rural production in the state.
“We are experiencing a time when the market requires more quality and scale production. And agribusiness in Juruá has shown that it is prepared to respond to this demand. But this is only possible with technical support, technology and public policies that encourage the producer,” he said.

Veronez praised the partnership between Faeac and institutions such as Sebrae, which have been investing in technologies for the countryside, such as the use of genetically improved seedlings, technical assistance and training actions. “Our job is also to publicize, show the potential of our region and bring innovation to producers. With technology, they produce more, more economy and quality,” he said.

Despite the optimism with the advances, the president of Faeac made a point of highlighting the challenges still faced by the sector. Among them, he highlighted the lack of land regularization, a chronic problem that affects thousands of producers in Acre. “We still have many properties without definitive title. This prevents access to credit, makes investments difficult and wages the growth of production,” he said.

In addition to the land issue, Ahasuero pointed to environmental barriers as another sensitive point that needs to be debated. “Environmental requirements today are heavy and often penalize those who want to produce legally. The law needs to be observed, of course, but it is also necessary common sense and political support to solve these obstacles.”
For him, the solution of these problems depends on a joint effort between producers, class entities and the public power. “We need to join the forces to remove these obstacles from the path of the rural producer. This is how we will transform Acre’s potential into concrete reality, generating employment, income and development to the interior of the state.”
The Speech of ASSUERO VERONEZ occurs amid one of the largest editions of Expoacre Juruá, which has brought together producers, investors and entrepreneurs from all over the country, consolidating itself as one of the main showcases of agribusiness in northern Brazil.
