GENIAL Survey/Quaest shows that 69% of congressmen find the executive’s attention to the House of Representatives.
Most federal deputies consider that the president’s government (PT) does not devote sufficient attention to Congress. The conclusion is from that released this Wednesday (02.Jul.2025), which consulted 203 deputies.
The survey indicates that 69% of congressmen interviewed assess that the executive has less attention to the legislature. Only 22% consider the attention received, while 3% believe that the federal government has more attention than necessary to the deputies.
Negative perception grew compared to the previous study. , 64% of deputies already indicated insufficient government attention, a percentage that increased 5 percentage points in the current survey.
The interviews were conducted in person and digital between May 7 and June 30, 2025, in Brasilia, headquarters of the Chamber of Deputies. The sample represents a significant part of the 513 deputies of the House.
Congress
The results show a tendency to deteriorate in the evaluation of Congress on the relationship with the executive. While the percentage of those who consider inadequate attention rose from 64% to 69%, the proportion of those who judge it appropriate fell from 27% to 22% in the same comparative period.
The percentage of congressmen who evaluate that the government has more attention than necessary to decrease from 4% to 3%. Another 6% of respondents did not know or did not want to answer the question, against 5% in the previous survey.
The research has an estimated margin of error of 4.5 percentage points, more or less. The study does not present explanations for this perception of congressmen nor suggests measures that the government could adopt to improve this assessment.
