Dollar closes at $ 5,421, lower level since August

Result comes on the day of disclosure of US economic data and Lula and Haddad line on IOF

The dollar closed this Wednesday (2.Jul.2025) falling 0.74%, quoted at R $ 5,421. It is the smallest level since August 19, 2024, when it was R $ 5,441.

Investors are expecting to vote on the US Fiscal Package of Donald Trump (Republican Party) by the House of Representatives – Equivalent to the House of Representatives in Brazil. On the 3rd (1st.Jul).

The project aims to extend, permanently, the income tax cuts approved in 2017, still during Trump’s first term.

The text also proposes temporary reductions of rates on tips, overtime and interest on vehicle financing. The tax package also stipulates major increases in defense and security spending on borders.
