In some parts of southern Europe, 40 degrees Celsius has now been exceeded, in Italy the asphalt melts on the streets, violent forest fires are blazing in Greece, France is faced with temperatures that have so far hardly been known for this time of year. Experts are convinced that this extreme heat is only the beginning: Due to climate change, heat waves will become more frequent, longer and even fatal in the future, countless studies leave no doubt about this.
