Full deposit without emptying your wallet: Discover the German method and save up to 20 € for each time you supply this summer

Filling the warehouse has become increasingly costly for Portuguese drivers, especially for those who depend daily on the car to work or take the family. With fuel prices staying high, it is natural to look for effective strategies to save when supplying.

Many are unaware of, but there is a method already tested in Germany that can be easily applied in Portugal. This approach is based on concrete data on price behavior and supply habits, with proven positive results.

Prices per liter weigh in the monthly budget

According to the latest values, the liter of gasoline surrounds the 1,687 euros, while the diesel approaches the 1,575 euros. With regular supplies, these costs become a considerable slice of the monthly family budget.

Small changes in driving and supply habits can help relieve this pressure. The solution is not to fail to use the car, but to make more informed and conscious decisions.

German Club Automobile Recommendations

Automobile Club German (ADAC) has been analyzing in detail the fluctuation of fuel prices and shared useful recommendations that any Portuguese driver can follow without much effort.

Self -Estradas are always more expensive

One of the most underlined points for this body concerns the place where it seeks to supply. In general, the posts located in self -established practice prices far higher than those in urban areas or with national roads.

Differences are even impressive

Avoiding service posts on fast roads can result in significant savings. According to ADAC, “fuel prices on the highways can be, on average, about 38 cents per liter more expensive for diesel and more than 39 cents per liter for gasoline (super E10)”.

Up to 20 euros spared in one deposit

In a 50 liter warehouse, this difference can represent an economy of over 20 euros. In some situations, the deviation pays even more, with variations per liter that reaches the 54 cents.

End of the day is the most economical moment

In addition to the place, the time of the day you will supply also influences the amounts paid. Studies show that between 19h and 22h prices tend to be lower, which is the most advisable period, according to.

On the contrary, fueling early in the morning can be more expensive. “Prices are usually higher around 7am,” says ADAC, warning of the need to avoid the most demand periods early in the day.

Temperatures influence income

Another curious factor is the room temperature. On hot days, fuel expands slightly, which may mean that it is received less energy per liter. Thus, early morning or end of the day are more advantageous.

Mondays and Tuesdays are the best days

The choice of day of the week also interferes with the price paid per liter. Monday and Tuesdays have, on average, lower values, unlike weekends and holidays, when it is registered greater demand.

Avoid extra expenses in convenience stores

In convenience stores associated with supply stations, consumer can still be led to spend more than necessary. Snacks, beverages or car products are often sold at prices higher than supermarket.

The application of the “German method” does not require major routine changes. Just be aware of the moment and where you supply, avoiding waste and impulse choices.
