Iran closes the airspace above the central and western areas. Restrictions arise from security measures.
Iran unexpectedly, Iran unexpectedly returned its airspace over the central and western part of the country for international flights. The local news agency SNN informed about it, referring to a spokesman for the Ministry of Transport, writes TASR.
The decision followed the “security checks”, the spokesman said. The Iranian Civil Aviation Authority in recent days began slightly releasing measures and issuing the first flights. However, the main international airport in Tehran remains closed. According to the Office, the restrictions are to be paid until at least Thursday 14.00 local time (13.00 CEST).
According to DPA, Flightradar has only recorded unique flights over the eastern part of Iran. The country closed the airspace on June 13, when Israel attacked the country. Currently, the ceasefire has been valid between the parties.
