Almada in Botafogo?
At 24, Almada was loaned by Botafogo to Lyon in a ‘maneuver’ by John Texor, owner of Saf Botafoguense and until the previous week, of the French team. In July 2024, Botafogo announced the signing of Almada, at the time the most expensive reinforcement in Botafoguense history: $ 25 million ($ 137.4 million in the quotation of the time), being $ 22 million more $ 3 million in a bonus combined in contract.
