The City Hall of São Paulo sent to the City Council a bill that proposes a bonus of up to R $ 1,000 to agents of the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) who participated in the recovery of stolen, stolen or with adulterated identifier.
According to the city, which released the initiative on Tuesday, 1, the bill seeks to encourage the performance of guards to combat crime and the circulation of irregular vehicles in the capital.
The project provides that the reward is granted by a recovered vehicle, upon proof of the effective participation of GCM and validation by the competent authority.

The bonus will not be incorporated into the salary of the servers and may be attributed individually or in team, as regulated to be established. Its concession will be conditioned to the budgetary and financial availability of the year.
The capital has registered a drop in the number of motorcycles stolen this year, compared to 2024, according to official data from the State Department of Public Security. In the first five months of this year, 454 thefts were registered, compared to 536 in the same period of 2024.
