Dear pancakes are consumed in Turkey for breakfast. In Poland, however, they fit more for a dinner dish or a full dinner. You can take them to work for work or reheat when we are not able to eat them all, although they are so good that the family will certainly ask for more than one moreover.
The dough for dry should be soft, not very sticky, so that it fry well and folds. That is why it is best to use type 500 or 650 wheat flour.
We fill the pancakes salty with meat filling, and serve the whole dish with a light salad. We can additionally pour them with garlic sauce or Greek yogurt with herbs.
What ingredients do we need to make Turkish pancakes?
Cake ingredients:
- 400 ml of milk;
- 250 g of wheat flour;
- 2 eggs;
- 2 tablespoons of oil;
- 1 teaspoon of oregano;
- A bit of salt.
Filling ingredients:
- 500 g of minced meat;
- 250 g of tomato puree;
- 1 onion;
- Spices: salt, pepper.
Salad ingredients:
- 5 mature tomatoes;
- 3 ground cucumbers;
- 1 onion;
- 4 tablespoons of wine vinegar;
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
- Spices: salt, pepper.
At the beginning we make a dough for Turkish pancakes. For this purpose, we combine milk, eggs, wheat flour, oil, oregano and salt. Fry them in a small amount of hot oil.
In the next step, fry the meat with onions cut into feathers and add tomato puree and spices as desired. Stew everything for a while.
We fill the pancakes with a prepared stuffing, fold them and put them in an heat -resistant dish. Bake the dish for 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 150 degrees Celsius.
In the meantime, we prepare a salad for Turkish pancakes: cut cucumbers and cubes, and onions into feathers. Add wine vinegar and olive oil to vegetables and add spices.
