The remains of Diogo Jota and André Silva, who died at the last dawn, victims of a car accident in Spain, should go to Portugal on Thursday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed to SIC that the bodies were released from the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Zamora in the early afternoon. The wife and parents of the two footballers accompanied the bodies and did recognition on the spot.
The remains should, however, be transported to Puebla de Sanabria, near the border with Portugal and a few kilometers from the accident. Hence, a Portuguese funeral home is expected to take the bodies of players to Porto.
