From Friday, July 4, Marina de Albufeira will receive the “Algarve Equestri Gala”, an event that returns after the success of the last three editions to honor the majestic Lusitanian horse. The initiative extends until the end of August and promises to attract thousands of viewers, between residents and visitors.
With a total of four free admission sessions, the Equestrian Algarve gala aims to provide a memorable experience and contribute to the promotion of the high time of tourism in Albufeira, when the city receives a high influx from tourists.
The mayor, José Carlos Rolo, is enthusiastic about the return of the event and states that this will be “one of the highlights of the summer season in Albufeira”. The mayor also underlines the positive impact of the initiative, which “serves as a showcase for the best thing in Albufeira.”
During the shows, the public will be able to attend classic riding exercises, accompanied by choreographies made by experienced knights, combined with music and dance that promise to enrich the city’s sc sum.
All participants involved in the show are of Algarve origin, including knights, musicians, dancers and artists. José Carlos Rolo highlights this factor as a “differentiating element in the face of other equestrian shows”, reinforcing the intention of “giving local artists stage”.
The Equestrian Algarve Gala takes place at Marina de Albufeira on July 4th and 18th, and on August 1 and 22, always with free admission. The event is once again one of the most elegant and captivating cultural proposals of the Algarve summer.
