The president of Chamber of Deputies, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), spoke on Wednesday (2) about the principle of harmony among the Three powers.
In an interview with the Videocast of “Sphere Brazil”, Hugo stated that the concept does not imply the need for total agreement between the legislature, the executive and the judiciary.
“We have sought, with this independence, a harmonious coexistence, because the one who wins is the country. In harmony it is not required that one power agrees with everything the other does,” said the mayor.
“There is divergence, there is discussion, there is disagreement and this is natural to democracy. Especially because we have a regime that allows everyone to express their desire there, their opinion on these matters,” he adds.
Still during an interview, Hugo Motta claimed to have a “good” and “fruit” relationship with Senate President David Alcolumbre (Union-AP). According to him, there is a “convergence agenda” with society, with the country and also between the two legislative houses.
“And so it is with the powers, and in this construction we have sought with a lot of dialogue, very capable of finding convergence, and being able to have a productive agenda, a producing agenda for our country,” Hugo continued.
