Vienna-The legal basis for the so-called Messenger monitoring passed the interior committee on Wednesday with the votes of the government parties ÖVP, SPÖ and NEOS. In the future, the management of state protection and intelligence service (DSN) should be allowed to monitor both unencrypted and encrypted messages from endangers. So far, only traffic data could be determined. At the NEOS, not all of them had been satisfied with the regulation.
