The governor of Bahia, (PT), and the leader of the Senate government, (PT-BA), were booed during the traditional July 2 walk, held this Wednesday (2.Jul.2025), in Salvador (BA). The event celebrates the definitive expulsion of the Portuguese troops of Bahia in 1823, a year after the proclamation of Brazil’s independence.
Video that circulates on social networks shows Jerônimo and Wagner, who was governor of Bahia for 2 terms, walking among people. They smile and wave. It is possible to hear boos, some isolated applause and a woman shouting “ACM Neto”.

The president (PT) participated in the walk, but does not appear in the video with Jerônimo and Wagner.
