QUEST: Deputies see low chance for government agenda – 03/07/2025 – Power

At least 57% of federal deputies assess that the chances of the government () approve its agenda in Congress, according to a genius/Quaest poll released on Wednesday (2).

Most deputies see difficulty approving government guidelines. Another 36% say the chances of Lula’s schedule to be approved are high, and 7% do not know or did not respond.

Quaest interviewed 203 deputies (40% of the House) between May 7 and June 30. The margin of error is 4.5 percentage points.

The survey also questioned parliamentarians about why Congress made a few important votes in 2024. For 45% of respondents, the government’s lack of political articulation is the main reason.

According to the survey, 46% of deputies negatively evaluate the government. In addition, half says the relationship with Congress is negative.

The assessment fell in the midst of the crisis. The executive was surprised by the decision of the mayor, (-PB), to guide the bill to overthrow the IOF decree, which was approved with a large majority in the Chamber and. Today the government went to the Supreme Court to try to maintain measures, further intensifying the war with the legislature.

Methodology

Together with the Genial Investment Bank, Quaest interviewed 203 of the 513 deputies (40%) proportionally to the representation by region and by party. That is, as 21% of deputies are from the Midwest, for example, this region makes up 21% of the sample. The same happened in relation to the deputy party: as 18% of the chamber is PL chairs, deputies of the subtitle are 18% of the sample.
