Elon Musk’s manufacturer delivered 384,122 vehicles from April to June, below the 600,000 mark of the Chinese company

Tesla delivered 384,122 electric vehicles in the 2nd quarter of 2025, registering a 13% drop compared to the same period as 2024. Elon Musk’s manufacturer was below the brand by the Chinese BYD. According to the newspaper, the Chinese company reached 606,993 deliveries, a growth of 42% over the previous year.

The reduction in Tesla deliveries marks the 2nd consecutive quarter of drop in sales. In the same period of 2024, the company delivered 443,956 vehicles.

The automaker faces a decrease in demand in Europe and increased competition from Western and Chinese manufacturers. Delivery decline is attributed to multiple factors, including Musk’s political positions and a portfolio of vehicles that have not attracted consumers as before.

To avoid another year of falling annual sales, Tesla will need to deliver more than one million vehicles in the 2nd semester of 2025. The company’s shares rose 4.5% after the disclosure of results, even with the drop in deliveries.

The automaker faces difficulties in several global markets, although there are signs of a modest recovery in demand in China, where the renewed model Y has achieved some traction.
