Deraca intensifies erosion containment work in the New Market Velho, in Rio Branco

The Department of Roads, Hydrovial Infrastructure and Airport of Acre (Deracre) advances in the works of containment of erosion in the region of the Novo Mercado Velho, in Rio Branco. The action is part of a set of services that include the recovery of the Joaquim Macedo catwalk, an important pedestrian crossing point in the city center.

The teams are focused on the digging of metal piles and the implementation of a containment wall to contain the advancement of erosion caused by landslides, ensuring the safety of residents, traders and passers -by. The initiative seeks to preserve soil stability and the durability of the historical structure.

“We are committed to delivering a safe and resistant work, prioritizing the tranquility and well-being of the population that circulates daily by the place,” says Deracre President Sula Ximenes.

To ensure safety during execution, siding were installed along the waterfront, protecting the public and commercial establishments of the region. The work reinforces the commitment of the Government of Acre to the maintenance and preservation of public spaces of the capital.
