Zarah Sultana, the British Parliament, launched a new political initiative after leaving the Labor Party. With the support of independent leaders, he establishes a new party, wants to enforce social changes.

Former Member of the British Parliament Zarah Sultana is from the Labor Party and establishes a new political party, DPA reported on Friday night.

According to Sultan, the Westminster system is spoiled

Sultana, who had suspended membership of the Labor Party’s parliamentary club last year, announced that she was led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and that she would “co -co -co -co -co -in the new party”. She said in a social network post that in addition to former Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn, this project will also participate in “other independent deputies, activists and leaders of civil society from all over the country”.

Sultana wrote that “the Westminster system is spoiled, but the real crisis reaches deeper”. She added that the system of coexistence of the two main parties “does not offer anything other than managed decline and violated promises”.

She was fired from the party after the vote on child allowances

She recalled that a year ago, she was suspended from work for voting for the abolition of the upper limit to the child’s allowances, which, in her opinion, would help 400,000 children get out of poverty. “I would vote for it again,” she said. She added that it would again vote against the cancellation of heating allowances for pensioners. “Now the government wants to hurt the disabled – he just does not know how much,” the politician said, calling on people: “Join us.”

Sultana was one of the seven deputies who suspended membership of a parliamentary club last year after supporting the amendment to children’s allowances. Four of them were later rehabilitated, but Sultana was not among them.

Corbyn criticizes the Labor Party for the departure from the social program

Corbyn was chairman of the Labor Party in 2015-20. He led the party at the time of its strong shift to the left – supported the nationalization of public services, peaceful foreign policies and a stronger welfare state. In 2020 he was suspended due to disputes over anti -Semitism in the party. Later he was re -admitted to the party as a member, but not as a Member, thereby becoming an independent deputy. In recent years, Corbyn has criticized the leadership of the Labor Party under Starmer, especially for the departure from the social program and the “toothless opposition” to the conservatives.
