Germany is preparing the purchase of a thousand combat cars and up to 2,500 armored combat vehicles, which cites people familiar with the theme this Friday.
This purchase, which can cost Berlin 6 billion euros, is part of NATO’s effort to contain the Russian threat, the channel says.
Bloomberg says the Atlantic alliance has asked Germany to contribute seven combat brigades to their strength over the next ten years, and these vehicles would equip these brigades.
As for vehicle models, the government of Friedrich Merz is considering acquiring the Leopard 2 combat cars and the boxed boxes, made by KNDS and Rheinmetall. The monsters of the latter rose 3.69% this Friday in reaction to the news.
Bloomberg says the plan can advance by the end of the year.
