Three days and 3,000 participants later, the 13th edition of the Lisbon Forum, an event that has the Minister of (Supreme Court) as the main organizer and is nicknamed “Gilmarpalooza”.
The reference to the American music festival that brings together several attractions in the same edition does not upset the minister, on the contrary. “Someone joked that now we have to call an international forum, but if they want, they can continue to call it,” said the magistrate, drawing laughter from those who accompanied the press conference after the end of the event, on Friday (4).
With regard to the minister, the forum will continue to gather the first echelon of Brazilian politics in Portuguese soil. “We can even do something like this in Brazil, but it is very difficult to keep people in the environment that we can keep here, in this process of immersion,” he said, “but we certainly have our minds, our interests, our hearts turned to Brazil.”

“We have no problem with this. The institutions that support the forum have absolute tranquility about it. “If you create a lot of mystery, you see the coming of entrepreneurs who talk to judges. We talk to judges everywhere in Brazil, the lawyers, the businessmen. Brazil has a tradition of great receptivity about it. And no one comes here to do something wrong, you know this.
The event has gathered about 150 authorities in recent days, including other STF ministers, such as Flávio Dino, André Mendonça and Alexandre de Moraes. Political opponents participated, including pockets such as the governor of Sao Paulo, Tarcisio de Freitas (Republicans), and assistants of President Lula-as Ministers Jorge Messias (Attorney General of the Union) and Ricardo Lewandowski (Justice).
