The Minister of Institutional Relations, highlighted in an X (former Twitter) publication that the suspension of the decree of (tax under financial operations) maintains the need to contain all union expenses and imposes a slower pace for budget release.
“It is important to remember that, with the suspension of the IOF decree, the need for budgetary resources contingency is maintained, imposing a slower pace the execution of all types of Union budget expenses,” he wrote.
The statement was published after Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Court (STF), – those of the government and those who were overthrown by Congress.
Within expenses that suffer from contingency is the execution of parliamentary amendments, transfers of interest to parliamentarians.
As long as there is no definition in the conciliation between government and Congress or a new decision of the Supreme Court, IOF increases proposed by the government remain suspended.
In the publication, Gleisi again stated that the Lula (PT) government acted responsibly to comply with the tax framework approved by the legislature and that it has no problem dialogue with Congress and the STF.
