Lula charges supervision to prevent posts sell more expensive gasoline

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) charged, this Friday (4), more supervision by the competent agencies so that discounts on the price of gasoline sold at gas stations are passed on to consumers.

“It is necessary that these bodies that have the function of overseeing does not allow any gas station in this country to sell gasoline more expensive than what the price it has wants to sell, let alone diesel. It is not possible that Petrobras announce the discount of a penny and this discount does not reach the consumer,” he said.

AGU asks for investigation

On Thursday (3), the AGU (Attorney General of the Union) asked Cade (Administrative Council for Economic Defense), the PF (Federal Police) and other control bodies one.

According to law, there are indications that distributors and resellers would not be passing on to consumer the price reductions practiced by refineries.

The request for investigation was also sent to Senacon (National Consumer Secretariat), the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, as well as the National Attorney of the Union of Public Patrimony and Probity, unit of AGU linked to PGU (Attorney General’s Office).
