Paid stages and professional future: CP challenges young people to innovate in the railroad

CP-Comboios de Portugal has just announced the launch of the CP Trainup 2025/2026 trainees program, an initiative for paid professional internships that aims to attract 40 newly graduates to integrate the future of sustainable and innovative mobility in the country.

Scheduled for September 2025 and a duration of 12 months, CPTRAINUP is addressed to young people with up to two years of professional experience. The initiative offers solid, theoretical and practical training, and a concrete opportunity for integration in the company’s staff, through the participation in strategic projects and monitoring by experienced professionals.

Under the motto “Raise Your Future”, CP is looking for candidates with critical spirit, curiosity, willingness to learn, communication and teamwork, and interest in innovation and sustainable mobility. Elegable profiles include graduates or masters in the areas of Management, Engineering, Information/Mathematics Technologies, Architecture, Marketing/Digital and Law.

The internships will take place in various areas of the country, namely in Lisbon, Porto, Entroncamento and Vila Real de Santo António. In addition to training and mentoring, the program offers an internship scholarship, meal allowance, personal accident insurance and transport facilities in the form of CP vouchers.

The CP stresses that this is a unique opportunity for young talents to actively participate in the transformation of the Portuguese railroad, contributing ideas and energy to the challenges of the future.

Applications to the first edition of CPTrainup are open until July 20, 2025. The selection process includes curriculum analysis and interviews that will take place during August. Interested parties should send their resume and an original motivation letter to the email address.

With this program, CP affirms itself as a prosecutor of youth talent and innovation, offering these 40 trainees the opportunity to start their career with an ambitious project and aligned with the sustainability and modernization goals of the rail sector.
