A couple, identified as Gabriel and Maria, were arrested on Thursday night (3), accused of drug trafficking, in block 13b of the Cidade do Povo Housing Estate, in the second district of Rio Branco.
According to information from the 2nd Military Police Battalion, the garrison was patrolling routine in the city of the people when it spotted a man, already known to the corporation, allegedly carrying a pistol at his waist. Upon noticing the approach of the car, the suspect fled, jumping walls and fences, and tried to hide in a forest area, but was eventually captured. During the approach, the police found that Gabriel no longer carried the gun, but carried two packages of marijuana, totaling 180 grams.

The police returned to the residence from which he had left and, talking to a woman who was on the scene, identified as Maria, she said there was more drug hidden in the bathroom garbage basket, covered with toilet paper. During searches at the house, a precision scale, 37 marijuana bundles, one cocaine, four larger marijuana wrap, smuggled cigarettes, a card machine, a Pix card in the name of Gabriel with its phone number, silk paper, two cell phones and narcotic packing material were also found.
At the residence, R $ 593.15 were also found in coins. Added to banknotes, the value totaled R $ 851.15. Police also seized a camera used to monitor the movement in front of the house.
According to the PM, Gabriel had been arrested the week before, also for drug involvement, but was already free.
Given the facts, the couple was arrested and were sent to the Flagrant Police Station (Defla), along with the seized material, for the appropriate procedures.
