State Representative Guilherme Cortez (PSOL) filed last Tuesday (1st) a representation in the prosecutor after Vaidebet.
At the event, held in June at the Tietê Sports Center, a public equipment in the North Zone of the capital, the company delivered gifts as personalized glasses and hats, as well as having its brand exposed on advertising signs.
The sponsorship occurred despite the authorization term to use the Tietê Sports Center to make the party have an item that vetoed “to practice or consent to the practice of gambling or similar.”
Cortez claims that the brand exposure of a betting company in an institutional environment aimed at entertainment can induce the naturalization of game -related behaviors.
“Especially among children, adolescents and vulnerable audiences, contrary to consumer protection legislation and the Statute of Children and Adolescents,” says the deputy, who wants to prohibit the state to enter into contracts and partnerships with betting companies.
Hired by the Secretariat of Tourism to organize the June party, the company Dois Rodas signed an advertising agreement with Bet.
To the panel Nunes management states that the responsibility for the search for sponsorship is the contracting company and organizer of the event, to Dois wheels. It also says that “there is no non -compliance with the Tietê Sports Center Authorization Term, since there was no consent or gambling practice during the party.”
Already the company Dois wheels says that Vaidebet was one of the supporters with limited exposure to visual materials. “There was no activation in any time involving bets or games to the public on site or in prior disclosure activities,” says the organizer.
With free musical attractions such as Falamansa, and Leo Santana, the party brought together thousands of people between 19 and 22 June.
