Henrique Gutterres leaves office after post with spelling failures and incorrect use of the club’s shield on social networks
Henrique Gutterres, Vasco’s Executive and Commercial Executive Director of Marketing and Commercial, was fired from office on Thursday (3.Jul.2025).
The board made the decision after the executive made a publication with errors on social network, which caused a negative reaction among Vasca fans.
The shutdown was confirmed by the board of the Vasco da Gama Regatta Club after Gutterres’s post spread rapidly among the fans. The executive had been in charge since November 2024, totaling approximately 8 months in office.
The publication that generated the controversy announced “Business opportunities with Vasco” in search of new business partners. The post, however, had spelling errors, used the incorrect shield and referred to “Clube Vasco da Gama” instead of the official nomenclature “Vasco da Gama Club” Club “.
Information on the resignation was initially released by the YouTube channel, before the official announcement of the Rio club.
Vasco’s board decided to immediately dismiss the professional after assessing that the failures compromised the club’s institutional image.
The club has not yet announced who will take office left by Gutterres. There is also no information on possible restructuring in the marketing department of SAF Vasca.
