Army tank goes over the car in Ponta Grossa, Paraná

A armored army tank passed over the side of a parked car while driving against a street on Thursday (3) in Ponta Grossa, no. The vehicle, which was part of a train, also hit another vehicle that was parked on the street. The incident was recorded by security cameras. The 5th Armored Cavalry Brigade reported, by means of a note, that the military vehicle had left the 13th Armored Infantry Battalion and adopted “all the security measures planned for such a displacement.” The vehicles were heading towards the General Calazans Instruction field, about 6 km from the scene of the accident.

According to the agency, there was no record of victims and the case will be contracted. “The command of the 5th Armored Cavalry Brigade has established an investigation to investigate the circumstances of the incident and the relevant responsibilities,” says excerpt from the note. The Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB) does not deal directly with the circulation of tanks or military vehicles in train by the contrary. Article 29 of the Code, however, states that “vehicles intended for fire and rescue relief, police, inspection and traffic operation and ambulances, as well as priority in traffic, enjoy free circulation, parking and stopping, when in emergency service, ostensive policing or public order preservation”.
