The Government of Acre, through the Department of Roads, Waterway Infrastructure and Airport of Acre (Deracre), on Friday night, 4, quickly controlled a fire fire that is around the Porto Walter aerodrome, near the Floresta neighborhood.

After receiving the complaint, Deracre immediately called on their field teams and, in partnership with the Porto Walter City Hall, mobilized a spin truck to the site. Workers from the two institutions acted directly in the containment of the flames.

The president of Deracre, Sula Ximenes, said: “The rapid mobilization of the teams and the support of Porto Walter City Hall was fundamental to control the fire. This joint action avoided damage around the aerodrome landing track,” he said.

The coordinated work between the teams of Deracre and the City Hall prevented the fire from reaching the track and the facilities of the aerodrome, ensuring the integrity of the structure and the safety of the local community.
