Firefighters on Saturday afternoon intervene in a forest fire in the village of Richnava in the district of Gelnica. The fire that spread uncontrollably has managed to stop from the top and the extinguishing continues in the direction of the wind. The Fire and Rescue Corps informed about it on the social network.
The current fire area is approximately 500 times 200 meters. “There is a helicopter of the Ministry of Defense on the spot, which will make several matches today. Forces and funds are prepared on the spot so that if necessary, fire extinguishers can continue at night,” stated.
Together with professional firefighters, there are also 15 volunteer firefighters from the villages of Kluknava, Krompachy, Margecany, Slovinky and Hrišovce. The Group East from the ground extinguishing module is directed to the site.
