The Ministry of Finance and the Brazil Digital Council signed a cooperation agreement to prevent, detect and overthrow content related to bets that are in disagreement with national legislation.
Cooperation will allow the establishment of bilateral communication channels between the Ministry of Finance’s Secretariat of Awards and bets, the Brazilian Association and the digital platforms.
The agreement will enable notifications of the existence of contents that disrespect the legislation can be done in an organized and more fast manner. The partnership will also accelerate the eventual process of removal of the content, if necessary.
“The agreement with the Secretariat of Awards and bets is born from the understanding that the regulation of the fixed quota betting modality, especially in the digital environment, requires not only rules, but also technical cooperation, institutional articulation and permanent dialog channels,” said Felipe França, executive director of the Digital Council, during the signing of the agreement.
