You got bored of pickled and, and are you looking for new products from the world of preserves? In that case, be sure to prepare for your family cucumber in the ketchup lagoon. This unusual combination positively surprises with taste – cucumbers come out really delicious. Check a simple recipe.
Many people can grab their heads at the thought of combining cucumbers with ketchup, which we associate mainly with fries or hot dogs. In fact, a properly prepared flood of ketchup gives vegetables an unusual taste. The preserves come out slightly spicy with a clear hint of garlic.
This combination makes cucumbers properly preserved, but also become firm and crunchy. They will be an ideal addition to dinner, but they will also be great in sandwiches and as a snack on a party table.
Ingredients:
- 2 kg of ground cucumbers; 1 l of water;
- 400 ml ketchup spicy;
- 200 g cukru;
- 150 ml of vinegar 10 proc.;
- 50 ml of oil;
- 12 branches of parsley;
- 5 heads of garlic;
- 6 bay leaves;
- 5 allspice grains;
- 4 pepper grains;
- 1 tablespoon of salt.
Preparation:
To start with, wash the cucumbers and get rid of their tips. Then cut them into quarters or slices as you prefer.
In the next step, boil in a pot ketchup, sugar, vinegar, bay leaves, allspice, pepper grains and salt. Cook until you dissolve sugar and salt.
Then add the sliced garlic into the pot and cook the pickle for 5 minutes. After this time, add oil.
Put a few branches of parsley into scalded and clean jars. Then arrange the cucumbers tightly and pour them with the ketchup pad.
Stop the jars firmly and pasteurize them for 20 minutes, counting from the moment of boiling water in the garage. After this process, put the dish upside down on the cloth and wait until they cool completely.
