Number of asylum applications in Germany almost halved in the first half of the year

Berlin – The number of asylum applications in Germany decreased by almost half in the first six months of this year. As the Welt am Sonntag On Saturday, referring to previously unpublished figures from the Asy Lagstency of the European Union (EUAA), a total of 65,495 asylum applications were made in the first half of the year. This corresponds to a decline of 43 percent compared to the comparable period of the previous year.
