According to President Petr Pellegrini, the Cyrillo-Methodian festivities are not only a commemoration of history, but also a reason for discussing what our future will be. “Let’s get down and show that we can do as much for Slovakia as Cyril and Method. It is important that we think today how we move our country forward as they have moved us in the past,” said the President at a national pilgrimage held in Nitra on Saturday.

According to Pellegrini, it is also important that we do not forget our history, roots and identity on such holidays, and on the other hand, we are able to reflect the current situation. At the same time, the President stressed that the Slovak society should not be divided. “Let’s stop arguing with each other, let’s stop hating, let’s stop building big walls in our company, but try to get dead,” declared Pellegrini.
