Stédile delivers BRICS leaders to council proposals – 07/05/2025 – Panel

The main name of the (Landless Rural Workers Movement), will deliver this Sunday (6) to the leadership summit of a document with proposals and recommendations made by the Popular Council, which allows the participation of civil society in the group’s discussions.

The document was prepared from meetings of the participants of the Popular Council and the result of the discussions of seven working groups formed in the Popular Forum. The material, with about 80 pages, will address environmental and climate issues, finance, education, culture and digital sovereignty.

BRICS has as full members, in addition to Brazil, countries such as Russia, India, South, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Indonesia and Iran. Saudi Arabia, invited in 2023, has never officialized its entry, but has cast representatives for meetings.
