Ryanair unexpectedly interrupted the flight from Palma to Manchester. False warning light caused evacuation of passengers in which several injuries occurred.

With a fake fire alarm on Ryanair’s plane shortly after midnight at Son Sant Joan Airport in Palma de Mallorca, 18 people were injured in the evacuation of passengers, six were taken to the hospital. According to DPA and Euronews, TASR writes about it.

“This flight from Palma to Manchester interrupted the take -off due to the false signaling of fire warning light,” said Ryanair spokesman.

The first reports originally reported that there was a fire on board. Panic broke out among the passengers and many did not follow the crew instructions. They also used emergency exits above the right wing of the aircraft.

Some of them jumped on the landing area from a large height, while firefighters, rescuers and police were approaching the place.

In the video from the social network you can see that some have returned from the wing and used inflatable emergency slips on the other side of the plane as the rest of the passengers, which is a common evacuation procedure.

“To minimize disruption of passengers, we quickly secured a replacement aircraft for this flight, which flew from the palm tree this morning at 7.05 am,” said Ryanair spokesman and apologized to the disabled passengers for inconvenience.
