The French player said he received treatments considered dopantes when he was sick. After the repercussion on social networks, Saint-Maximin clarified his statements. The Istanbul club has denied the accusations and announced that it will take legal action against the athlete.
Allan Saint-Maximin, French striker who borrowed from Al Ahli at Fenerbahçe during the last season, made serious accusations against the Turkish club, guided by José Mourinho.
In a Nazk Nani podcast, the player reported worrying situations of pressure, threats and even treatments he considered as doping during his stay in Istanbul.
“When I’ve been sick, they have given me a treatment that is considered doping. It’s because of these things-and it’s sad for fans, because they don’t deserve it-that Fenerbahçe can’t be champion. They even wanted to me, to realize how bad the situation was. These are things that people don’t know. We don’t talk about it because we threaten behind the scenes.”
However, after his statements cause agitation on social networks, the player himself resorted to Twitter to clarify what he said.
“I see things are going to other sides on Twitter, so I will clarify what I said. I was talking about people at the club who are willing to do anything. In my case, when I got sick, they practically gave me a treatment that is considered a dopean product. I don’t know why the medical team did it,” he explained.
Resposta Do Fenerbahce
Fenerbahçe, in turn, reacted promptly to the striker’s accusations and announced that he will take legal action. The club issued a statement showing “amazed” with Saint-Maximin’s statements.
“We followed with the statements of Allan Saint-Maximin, who wore our nightgown in season 2024/25, on a social networking platform. The fact that an athlete distorts the facts about the treatment process that he went after a health problem is an attempt to harm our club. Fenerbahçe will use all his legal rights misleading and distorted statements that stain our reputation,” said the statement.
