The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has once again expressed his dissatisfaction with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for the course that bilateral conversations are taking to achieve a high fire in Ukraine.
In statements to the media aboard the presidential plane, the Air Force One, Trump has repeated that he is not “happy” with the conversation held between both leaders last Thursday and expressed his fear that the Russian president is not willing to stop until he meets all the objectives of the invasion of Ukraine.
“I think Putin wants to get to the end and keep killing people. That’s not right. Nothing. I am not happy,” Trump said, before suggesting that his country could resume the sending of air defense supplies to Ukraine after the partial suspension he declared this week. “I don’t like to see people die and I think it’s going to be needed to defend themselves,” he said.
Trump, in any case, declared himself discouraged with the lack of progress so far and has expressed serious doubts about a possible agreement. “I just try to put an end to this but right now I can’t say if it will happen.
I would like it to end, because I do not want to see 5,000, 6,000, 7,000 soldiers, Russians or Ukrainians, plus civilians, “he said.
