WOW World Record: The Airbus A380 passenger aircraft pulled the wireless drill! ...

The Parkside brand has spectacularly proved its power. The Hangar Lufthansa in Munich presents the possibilities of the new 12-volt drill-free driller “PPBSSA 12 BF24 A1” from the Performance series. Under the watchful eye of a representative of the Guinness Book of Records, the device put in motion of almost 300 tons of Airbus A380, setting a new world record in the longest distance category covered by a plane dragged by a battery drill. This impressive feat brings the Parkside brand recognition not only among DIY enthusiasts, but also in the history of Guinness records.

Martin Alles, director of the brand at Lidl International, explains Parkside is a brand that inspires to act! We want to encourage people to take matters into their own hands. Our latest project is not only an impressive technical achievement, but also a strong symbol of values that we represent: from Parkside we become a reliable partner for everyone who faces challenges and looking for their own solutions. We offer them the right tools, guaranteeing the best value for money.

Uneven duel: 12 V versus 306,000 kg

At a record distance of 143 centimeters, the Parkside drill-core, powered by only one battery, dragged about 300 tons of Airbus A380 by the Lufthansa Airlines technical flleet management. The aircraft was connected with a rope with a specially designed winch, which was driven by means of an attachment mounted to the drill. This extreme technological challenge took place under the watchful eye of engineers from the Darmstadt University of Technology, who even before the event conducted an enforcement analysis of the entire project.

Even without a calculator, it is not difficult to see the scale of the disproportion: Airbus A380 holds over 850 passengers and weighs over 300 tons in an unmanned state. Each of its four engines produces a string of 70,000 pounds – independently of each other. For comparison: Parkside drill-free drill weighs only 1.5 kg and reaches 80 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm, powered by a 12 V battery.

When I heard that the drill was to drag Airbus A380, I thought: It’s impossible! Sometimes I can’t break through the wall with my drill! And yet Parkside has proved that it was feasible. This crazy experiment shows how enormous power it hides this inconspicuous device. Parkside products are not only an affordable price – it is above all reliability, strength and technology that really impresses! – adds Niklas Kolorz, science popularizer and physics enthusiast.

A record drill from the available performance series

According to the Guinness Book of the Book of Records, the entire course of the event was supervised by official judges. Even before the test, they thoroughly checked all the elements of the device, confirming that the drill used is from serial production and is publicly available for customers. The device was developed in cooperation with YouTuber André Brockschmidt, the creator of the well -known industry portal BauForum24.

Power, precision and security – all in one tool
