The vehicles were developed focusing on the safety and welfare of the animals and the accompanying agents, offering proper structure for long working hours. The vehicles will be used on various fronts, such as police barriers, highway operations, ports, airports and borders, as well as integrated actions with other bodies.
In addition to the operational missions to combat drug trafficking, sniffer dogs and their teams will also participate in educational actions. The presence of animals in schools and communities is foreseen as a way to promote awareness and prevention to the use of narcotics, strengthening the social role of the Federal Police in the state.
The measure reinforces the federal government’s commitment to the modernization of security forces and the expansion of drug combat and prevention strategies across the country.
