The A-2 aircraft is emergency landing near the town of Čita in Siberia. The authorities inform about ten injured, including two in a critical condition. The causes of the incident are investigated.
At least ten people were injured in the emergency landing of an aircraft near the town of Cita in the Russian Babajkal region in the southeast of Siberia. Two are in critical condition, local authorities reported on Sunday. There were 11 people on board the plane – ten skydivers and one pilot, Ria Novosti said, writes TASR.
The A-2 aircraft belonged to a voluntary cooperation with the army, aviation and navy (DOSAAF) and, according to the rescue services, an emergency landed 16 minutes after the start in a wooded area near Cita. There was no fire at the point of impact, there were approximately 40 rescuers with 12 pieces of technology.
“In total, ten people were injured, two of them are in a critical condition, and the other eight have suffered moderate injuries,” a regional hospital spokeswoman, quoted by TASS, told reporters.
The cause of the emergency landing was not immediately known.
