Brazil prepares for a high warm winter season in July. During school holidays, national airlines will make more than 11 million seats available on 68,300 domestic flights, up 6% compared to the same period last year. The survey of ABEAR (Brazilian Association of Airlines), based on data from ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency), confirms the strengthening of the sector.
The air network records expansion in all Brazilian regions, especially Rio de Janeiro (+10%), São Paulo (+5%) and Brasilia (+6.4%). The list of expanded routes includes the routes from São Paulo (SP) to Porto Seguro (BA); Belo Horizonte (MG), Ilhéus (BA), Jericoacoara (CE) and Manaus, as well as connections in Brasilia (DF), Fortaleza (CE) and Recife (PE) for various destinations in the north and northeast of the country.
