O made an appeal on Sunday (6) to countries so that they do not remain “indifferent” to the “genocide” of em at the beginning of a BRICS summit meeting in Rio de Janeiro. “Absolutely nothing justifies the terrorist actions perpetrated by Hamas. But we cannot remain indifferent to the genocide practiced by Israel in Gaza and the indiscriminate killing of innocent civilians,” Lula said in the opening speech of the summit meeting that brings together 11 countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
