Value of the cheapest entry becomes R $ 72, a drop of 97.2% compared to the initial R $ 2,563; Departure will be in New Jersey
FIFA (International Football Federation) reduced on Saturday (5.Jul.2025) the value of tickets for the semifinal between Fluminense and Chelsea at the Club World Cup. The match will be held on Tuesday (9.Jul.2025), at 16h (Brasília time), at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to information from the website The Athletic, The cheapest entries to follow the match were sold for US $ 13.40 (about R $ 72), a 97.2% drop from the initial value of US $ 473.90 (approximately R $ 2,563). The decision was made by the organization less than 72 hours of the confrontation, in response to low demand.
The new ticket price is lower than in the same stadium, which costs $ 14. Ticket Master, the company responsible for selling tickets, implemented a dynamic price system throughout the competition.
There are only 4 teams left in the tournament and 3 games to be played: the two semifinals and the final. In the other semifinal will face Real Madrid and PSG (Paris Saint-Germain), with tickets starting at US $ 199.90 (R $ 1,081).
Public data show a significant difference of interest between matches. The confrontation between PSG and Atlético de Madrid, for the 1st round of Group B, recorded the largest audience of the tournament so far: 80,619 people.
Real Madrid has attracted an average of 60,000 viewers per game. In the victory over Borussia Dortmund in the quarterfinals, 76,611 people were present at the stadium in New Jersey.
Other games with large audiences were Real Madrid x Pachuca (70,248), Bayern Munich x Boca Juniors (63,587) and Real Madrid x Al Hilal (62,415).
This is not the first time FIFA reduces ticket values during the competition. The clashes between Fluminense and Al-Hilal, in Orlando, and Chelsea x Palmeiras, in Philadelphia, even cost $ 11 ($ 59).
This amount is lower than that charged by Palmeiras in a match of the Brazilian Championship at Allianz Parque. The dynamic pricing system will also be used at the 2026 World Cup.
