However, roses, like most plants, are exposed to various diseases. Some of them, especially mushrooms, pose a huge threat to our shrubs, as they can stop their growth and flowering. One of these immediately attacking roses is powdery mildew, which is caused by the fungus Sphaerotheca pannosa. This is quite common, which is characterized by a meal, white coating on the leaves. First, the raid appears on the upper side of the leaves, buds, young shoots and flowers. Over time, it can cover the entire plant. Due to the fact that the powdery mildew can stop the growth of roses, you should get rid of it as soon as possible to save these beautiful flowers. Therefore, when I noticed a white coating on the leaves of the bushes in my garden, I immediately prepared and sprayed the bushes with it, and fought the plague.

I prepared it myself with three ingredients. I dissolved 100 grams of bakery yeast in 0.5 liters of milk with a fat content of 3.2%. Then I gave 10 liters of water, a few drops of gray soap and stirred. Spraying on powdery mildew on roses based on bakery yeast, it is effective thanks to one -cell mushrooms Saccharomyces cerevisiaewhich are not dangerous to plants, but distributed on the leaves hinder the development of pathogenic fungi.

How to use yeast spray on powdery mildew on roses?

Yeast creates a thin layer on the surface of the leaves, which hinders the penetration of the fungal spores into the plant. How to use yeast spray on powdery mildew on roses to protect them from the plague? Spray the bushes thoroughly, especially the bottom side of the leaves. Perform the treatment in the evening on a windless day. Use it every 7-10 days, especially during periods of high humidity.
