In a message published in X, Lula expressed solidarity with the victims and said he was moved by the severity of the situation. “I sadly follow the news about the floods that are taking place in the United States. Tragedies like this, which has already caused more than fifty deaths, and left more than twenty missing children, moving everyone anywhere in the world,” he said.
The president also wished the local authorities and the US government success in rescue and support actions. “May the authorities of Kerr County, the State of Texas and the US government succeed in rescuing and assisting those affected by this disaster.
