During the event of the PL Woman held on Saturday morning (5), in Guarulhos (SP), former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro adopted a provocative tone by commenting on the recent PT initiative aimed at the evangelical public. The target of criticism was the course “Faith and Democracy for Brazilian Evangelical Militancy”, launched in May by the Perseu Abramo Foundation, an entity linked to the party of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

Michelle mocked the number of entries in the Political Training Program, noting that only 700 people joined the proposal. “A country with over 200 million inhabitants and that alone? Total success,” she said in sarcastic tone, drawing laughs from the audience.
Alongside the national president of the PL, Valdemar Costa Neto, the former first lady also defended the occupation of religious temples by representatives of the right. “They need money to try to convert. We have to occupy the spaces the churches, the networks, all that is ours by right,” he said.
In addition to attacking the petista initiative, Michelle directed criticism of the Lula government, accusing him of wanting to control public debate. “They want to regulate social networks. The truth bothers and they do everything to try to hide the lie,” he said.
During the meeting, a video of former President Jair Bolsonaro was shown with a message encouraging female participation in politics and the strengthening of women’s candidacies within the Liberal Party.
Michelle Bolsonaro has been consolidating himself as one of the main leaders of pockets and has actively acted in the mobilization of women and the evangelical electorate segment that is still one of the main pillars of the conservative base in the country.
