In order to improve cash supply in rural areas in Austria, the Austrian National Bank (OENB) has started to set up its own ATMs. The first one was opened in Obritzberg-Rust in Lower Austria on Tuesday, and up to 120 money issuers are to be set up over the next two years. According to the OENB data evaluated by the APA, more than 330,000 inhabitants in Austria currently have no ATM in their community.
